Being the mother of a 3yo & 4mo I dont get to the movies much these days, but Ive heard such great things about this movie. Even though I have yet to see it, the simple things you wrote here did sort of "re charge" me. Thanks for that!

An honor indeed! Loved that movie. What struck me is that being a disciple of Jesus truly is all about relationships. Building a trust and a love with people - a transparency that allows a two way learning/loving relationship. One on one, one person at a time. Love is spelled T-I-M-E. It's not good deeds for the sake of good deeds, but acts to change and point each other to Christ.

Glad to have discovered you - great blog. :)

Rachel,

Love this comment. You are so right. Sometimes the best thing we can do is just get out of our own heads.

Jennifer, once again, a though provoking post. The list you provided is good, and if I do half of them, I'll do well!

But in the name of "ever striving" I think I want to be more like Jesus. Stop thinking and sensing so much about myself and do as the Word admonishes, "put on the Lord Jesus Christ."

A daily exercise, no doubt, and his garments, while freely given, are far to royal and large for me. I want to step into them every day.

I once sang a spontaneous chorus during a worship set where the words went something like, "In the light of Your love, I can't even see me and it feels so good."

We were a small group praying that night, twelve of us, but we hung onto the chorus for 20 minutes and I think we all left changed.

So that would be my one constant, keeping loving, giving, listening (a huge one) and living fearlessly in the fight!
